One of my loves is photography. I express this through modeling and my own photography, which includes film and digital. Not all images are mine. I saw the fabulous looking beast on Photojojo and just had to have it!</p> <p>   TIM, as I will refer to it for now, is a half-frame 135mm camera that often comes with a matching flash, the Holga 12S TIM flash with colour filters. TIM requires no batteries (though the flash is a different matter) and features a bulb setting and multiple exposure switch. </p> <p>   The loveable, though admittedly a little creepy, smiley face’s features include eyebrows that open and close each of the eyes/lenses separately and a mouth that controls the aperture. The apertures available on this camera are F8, F11, and F22.</p> <p>   Both lenses expose simultaneously, and this camera gives you so many awesome options! Admittedly, it was a bit complex for *ahem* some girl’s first film camera, but it rocks nonetheless. Options include using the two lenses separately to take completely independent pictures on one exposure of film, using both lens simultaneously to take two near-identical pictures at the same time (which can be viewed 3D-style using the Holga 3DCV), and a multiple exposure switch to layer exposures to your heart’s content.</p> <p>    So, here’s my pro’s and con’s. Side-note: some of the cons are caused by the fact that this was my first camera, so if I sound uneducated about some, it’s because I truly was. :P</p> <p>Pros:</p> <ul><li>IT HAS A FACE! And better yet, it’s cute (in a creepy way).</li> <li>Comes in some awesome colours! As seen above, I chose yellow. The white and purple are also very rocking. (;</li> <li>Technically, 72 photos on a roll of 36 exposure film.</li> <li>Multiple exposure button (I love these!)</li> <li>No batteries (except in the flash).</li> <li>Shutter release cable compatible.</li> <li>Full control of opening and closing lenses while shooting. This includes leaving them partially opened. (;</li> </ul><p>Cons:</p> <ul><li>No way to lock the lenses closed/open. They often come open or closed in my bag.</li> <li>I found it very easy to forget which ‘eye’ you left off on…</li> <li>…or to forget not to wind the film in between each eye.
